Partners + Coalitions

HDC engages in strategic alliances across sectors and industries. Together, we can ensure everyone in King County has a safe, healthy, and affordable place to call home.

Some of our most recent partnerships include:

Emerald Cities and HDC have partnered to launch the E-Contractor Academy, a 7-week training program in 2020 for women and people of color-owned sub-contracting firms to gain the skills and knowledge needed to successfully bid on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. As stricter energy efficiency codes continue to be mandated, we want to ensure everyone benefits from technical advances and growth opportunities.

HDC, along with NAMI Washington, continues to fight for investments in Housing First and Permanent Supportive Housing programs at the state level for the most vulnerable Washingtonians. These programs provide necessary supports to people living with mental illness in such a way that they keep people healthy, productive, and thriving.

HDC is the fiscal partner of Tech 4 Housing, a community of tech workers who believe that the tech boom can and should benefit every resident. Tech 4 Housing works to engage the tech community through educational outreach and advocacy.

HDC, along with Seattle for Everyone partners, continues to workon the implementation of the Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda recommendations, specifically on passing Mandatory Housing  Affordability after the Hearing Examiner ended the year-long appeal process in November allowing Seattle City Council to move forward.

See our Affordable Housing & Faith-Based Organization page to learn about those partnerships and projects as well!
